Non è così banale dare una spiegazione chiara a quello che abbiamo visto in pista a Silverstone nella #SprintQualifying, perché quanto accaduto nelle prime 8 gare indicava senza ombra di dubbio che #Mercedes fosse la migliore dal punto di vista di gestione dell'energia, mentre #Ferrari fosse tra le peggiori, con una fame energetica costante. Un paradigma qui cambiato totalmente: la #SF26 ha eguagliato Mercedes (e staccato gli altri) proprio sotto il profilo energetico. Dal grafico del SQ3 si vede anche meno di quel che si è visto in SQ1 e SQ2, ma l'intera strategia energetica lungo il giro del team di Maranello è stata perfetta fin da subito, mentre Mercedes ha provato a correggere il tiro man mano che proseguiva la sessione. #Hamilton sfrutta tutte le occasioni per ricaricare fino a curva 7, ma allo stesso tempo andando comunque forte in curva, soprattutto riuscendo ad anticipare sempre molto bene l'uscita. E poi tutto quanto raccolto viene scaricato nella parte centrale della pista, dal vecchio rettilineo box, passando per Copse, ricaricando ancora in maniera aggressiva a Maggotts e poi scaricando di nuovo tutto dopo Stowe. In curva ci pensa il telaio a dare performance, ed ecco servita una delle pole meno attese dell'anno sicuramente. La domanda rimane su come abbia fatto Ferrari ad avere tutta quella disponibilità energetica. L'impressione è di un lavoro di ottimizzazione capillare da un lato, ma anche forse di un qualcosa a livello aerodinamico che ha contribuito ad abbattere in maniera significativa il drag, forse rinunciando anche a qualcosa dal punto di vista del carico aerodinamico, cosa che, a quanto pare, Mercedes sembra non riuscire a fare neanche volendo, ed infatti #Russell è lontano. La prima fila del vecchio e del giovane che hanno fatto entrambi due giri capolavoro. #Leclerc non era lontano e ha perso la p3 da #Verstappen proprio all'uscita dell'ultima curva, e questo conferma un'ottima Ferrari, anche se per il monegasco non sembra impresa facile rovesciare il trend a favore del compagno.
