Τι λέει το Διεθνές Δίκαιο; ✅Έχεις κυριαρχία; Άρα έχεις χωρικά ύδατα. Πλήρη. 12 μίλια. Τα «χωρικά» ύδατα λέγονται «territorial sea». Έχεις territory; έχεις και territorial sea. Πάνε πακέτο τα 12 μίλια με το έδαφος. Εφόσον κατέχεις έστω και μία βραχονησίδα, κατέχεις και τα 12 ναυτικά μίλια γύρω από αυτήν. ✅Έχεις οικονομική ζωή στο νησί; Άρα έχεις και ΑΟΖ. ΑΟΖ = Αποκλειστική Οικονομική Ζώνη. Προσέξτε την ίδια λέξη στους δύο όρους. Εφόσον έχεις «οικονομία» στο νησί, δικαιούσαι να εκμεταλλεύεσαι τους «οικονομικούς» πόρους της θάλασσας γύρω σου (μέχρι 200 ναυτικά μίλια, εφόσον δεν υπάρχει γείτονας), για να υποστηρίζεις αυτήν την οικονομία. Είδατε τι απλό που είναι; Οι αρχές είναι απλές και κατανοητές. Αρκεί να τις μεταφέρεις έτσι. Λοιπόν, το Διεθνές Δίκαιο λέει 12 ναυτικά μίλια σε βραχονησίδες και νησιά και ΑΟΖ σε όλα τα κατοικημένα νησιά που, εκ των πραγμάτων, στηρίζουν οικονομική ζωή. Σοφόν το απλόν.
