A World Cup in Latvia? We need to be ready to play in the big league! This time I met in Riga with my friend, FIFA President Gianni Infantino, and we talked about a very concrete ambition of Latvia: aiming to host the U20 World Cup together with Ukraine in the future. The way Infantino's tactic works is illustrated by a post from Latvia's Minister of Economics, Viktors Valainis (40): "A World Cup in Latvia? We need to be ready to play in the big league! This time I met in Riga with my friend, FIFA President Gianni Infantino, and we talked about a very concrete ambition of Latvia: aiming to host the U20 World Cup together with Ukraine in the future." #FIFA #Uefa #Infantino (translated)

The account attributed to him 126 goals and 70 assists with the Albiceleste, as well as two Copa América titles, one U20 World Cup, one Olympic gold medal, one World Cup, and one Finalissima. https://t.co/7jIhkJUVAx #Messi #Argentine #Football (translated)

Actu Foot estimated that a major page of football is turning after what it presented as Lionel Messi's last "dance" with Argentina, even though the player was to continue his career in Miami. In its summary, the account attributed to him, including Miami, 1,178 matches, 932 goals, and 426 assists, which is 1.15 contributions to a goal per match. It notably recalled his titles with FC Barcelona — including 10 La Liga and four Champions Leagues — his two Ligue 1 titles with PSG, and his trophies with Argentina, among which are a World Cup and two Copa América. Actu Foot also recorded eight Ballon d'Or awards, eight FIFA World Player of the Year distinctions, and six European Golden Shoes. Among the records mentioned were 126 goals with Argentina, 474 in La Liga, 672 official goals with FC Barcelona, and 34 matches played in the World Cup. #Messi #Football #Argentine (translated)

Luca Erlein, a 19-year-old central defender who was loaned from Bayer Leverkusen to Energie Cottbus in the summer, is impressing coach Claus-Dieter Wollitz with his performances in the 2nd league and has already been nominated for the U20 national team, while his market value has risen to 3 million euros. #LucaErlein #EnergieCottbus #BayerLeverkusen (translated)

Actu Foot indicated that a sequence from the under-20 match between Libya and Tunisia had gone viral. The account wrote that Libyan players strongly opposed the refereeing body after an offside was called, which they deemed justified. According to Actu Foot, with the Tunisian goalkeeper having left his goal, the Libyan forward was in an offside position. The video had been published by RMC Sport. https://t.co/v8Jkyv5gu9 #MatchDeFootball #Virale #U20 (translated)

Actu Foot reported, citing L’Équipe, that Zinédine Zidane had requested the DTN to take measures regarding the full-back position. He would have expressed concern about the lack of available players in this position and asked the coaches of the Espoirs, Baticle, and the U20 team, Diomède, to develop new profiles. Christian Mawissa and Ismaëlo Ganiou had been lined up as full-backs with the Bleuets during this international break, an experience that Actu Foot deemed successful. #ZinedineZidane #football #ÉquipeDeFrance (translated)

BeFootball reported, citing L'Équipe, that Zinédine Zidane had asked the DTN to take measures to strengthen the pool of full-backs, which he deemed weak. He allegedly passed on instructions to Gérald Baticle, with the U21s, and to Bernard Diomède, with the U20s, to develop new profiles. During the international break, Christian Mawissa was placed on the right and Ismaëlo Ganiou on the left, successfully according to BeFootball. #ZinedineZidane #Football #ÉquipeFrance (translated)

At the age of 23, Kornelia Lesiewicz ended her sports career. In 2021, as an 18-year-old, Lesiewicz respectively: became the vice-champion of Poland in seniors (400 m indoors), won bronze at the European indoor championships (4 x 400), silver at the World Relays (4 x 400), 1st place in the European team championships (both in 4 x 400 and in the overall classification), gold at the European junior championships (400), went to the Olympic Games in Tokyo (she was a reserve in the relay, ultimately did not compete), and won two silver medals at the junior world championships (mixed 4 x 400 and 400). After the race in the U20 World Championships final in Nairobi (51.97 PB)... she never broke 54 seconds again :( The next years were plagued by health problems and attempts to return to the sport at the highest level, today it turned out that there will be no further return. Thank you for repeatedly representing Poland and we wish you success in other areas of life! #sport #lekkoatletyka #KorneliaLesiewicz (translated)

Regarding this nonsense about potential. We have 4 U20 players already valued at over 10 million euros, and I think everyone agrees that Reguła will soon be in this group. Austria and Belgium have two such players. Norway, Sweden, Ukraine, Croatia, and the Netherlands have one each. Czech Republic, Denmark, and Switzerland have none. I don’t buy this complaining from Urban. https://t.co/SsWDzRGv2V #potencjał #piłkaNożna #transfery (translated)
