Ledarsidorna.se wrote that Peter Hultqvist's interview was an attempt to limit the damage and give the Social Democrats a more "hawkish" profile. The writer thought that several proposals in the interview were good: a permanent amphibious battalion in Gotland, re-establishing I 22 in Kiruna, and above all, building a third submarine of the A26 class. The writer claimed that larger combat vessels needed to be built in series of at least three to ensure redundancy, with two operational and one for training or maintenance. As support, the writer referred to his own experience of two years of service as ELF and LFO at PTK Gbg, the test command for Göteborg-class corvettes. Ledarsidorna.se expressed uncertainty about Magdalena Andersson's foreign and security policy stance and wrote that neighboring countries were not impressed by her latest statement, which the writer believed opened the door for reduced engagement on NATO's northern flank. The writer also believed that Pål Jonson should remain as defense minister and called him the best in the position in modern times. Compared to Hultqvist, the writer thought that Jonson had better knowledge of weapons and weapon systems. #svpol https://t.co/ihG7cqkWH5 #säkerhetspolitik #försvar #svenskpolitk (translated)

On September 30, 1928, Elie Wiesel was born. And you know, my dear ones, that Elie Wiesel had an opinion about you 😊 ??? Here you go ❗️⬇️ “If it comes to Poles...it is not a mere coincidence that the camps of the greatest genocide were established among them, in Poland, and not elsewhere.” And about the “Pogrom in Kielce”: “How could they? This question has haunted me for decades. How could ordinary citizens of this seemingly quiet city commit such heinous crimes, in broad daylight? To utter the name Kielce and the next word that comes to mind and to lips is ‘pogrom.’ For years, some of us have wondered whether a Jew can still die in Auschwitz after Auschwitz. Kielce gave us an answer. This cruel pogrom with 42 innocent Jewish victims, which we commemorate today, was the answer. What happened here showed that it is possible. What happened here showed that ordinary citizens can be just as cruel as the murderers from any death camp. If the violent prewar antisemitism paved the way for the Holocaust, then the Kielce pogrom confirmed its purpose.” Some claim that I am being "arrogant." Seriously??? Okay. So I am now turning to the President with a question about the Kielce pogrom, let His Majesty the brightest Republic...decide. Mr. President @NawrockiKn, did the Polish National Hero, Legendary General, double Knight of the Order of Virtuti Militari, representative of the Delegation of Armed Forces in the Country, the late Antoni Heda ps. "Szary"...LIE??? "In 1946 I had at my disposal the intelligence and counterintelligence of 'Polish Underground' operating in my area and long before this provocation I received reports that Jews from the UB in Kielce were plotting something. I placed my entire area under strict surveillance. We did not take our eyes off the Kielce building of the Security Office or its employees. Incidentally, it turned out that those few highly publicized murders of Jews returning from the USSR to Poland, which were attributed to 'Poland Underground,' were the work of the Jewish UB under the supervision of the Jewish NKVD; this gave me pause. I intensified security measures in my area. It turned out that Jews from the UB were murdering their own, but why? I couldn't answer that question at that time, at least for a while. Jews from the UB disguised as soldiers of the Home Army, National Armed Forces, stopped a train and threw Jews out of it, while all blame for these murders fell on us. I examined the matter thoroughly, it turned out that neither the AK nor the NSZ nor anyone from the Polish underground had anything to do with these murders. Among the information collected by our 'two-man' team was one that particularly worried me. For some time there had been a certain Adaś Posraniec in Kielce. A Soviet parachutist from the war, a Jew using the alias Adam Kornecki. 'Adaś Posraniec' because when he jumped out of the plane, out of fear he pooped his pants; people from the brigade commander AL, Colonel Połowniak, found him all covered in filth and terribly stinking, and that is why they named him 'Adaś Posraniec'; This Kornecki was an exceptional coward, before every fight with the Germans, he ducked to the rear or fled. And it was this Adaś Zasraniec who surveyed the blocks where the massacre then took place. From the continuously arriving information I received, it appeared that in one of the factories dummies were loaded onto a truck and the day before the incidents were delivered to those two blocks where the Jews lived; meanwhile, at night several corpses, probably of men from the AK and NSZ, were brought to the Kielce prison, where they were dressed in the previously sewn Jewish gowns; these corpses were even glued with beards, caps pressed on their heads and delivered in bags by car to those blocks. I had this information the day before the Kielce provocation, that is why those two Jewish blocks were not only placed under observation, but we managed to put our man there, and it turned out that there were no Jewish residents left, apart from a few small exceptions, their place was taken by UB officers, who kept dummies and corpses of AK and NSZ soldiers ready at the windows to be thrown outside at the right moment. No, it is not true that crowds of Kielce residents broke into those two Jewish blocks; that is a blatant lie." The residents of Kærshovedgård and other departure centers should not have free dental care. That is my clear stance. After a call from Berlingske, where the journalist questioned me for over 30 minutes in every conceivable way, I feel we should lay the facts on the table. I had a clear impression that a political narrative had been set up in advance, into which my answers were to be forced: that my stance was to be portrayed as both inhumane and heartless. But the matter is actually quite simple. The residents of, among other places, Kærshovedgård should leave Denmark. They should not be here. Either because they are rejected asylum seekers or because they have been convicted of serious crimes and expelled from Denmark. Most of them repeatedly. They can roam freely in society. I do not believe they should have free dental care. I believe they should go home. And in light of the fact that since 2016 we have spent over 4.7 million kroner on dental treatment for residents, it is reasonable to examine how that money is used. I must simply refer to reading the Aliens Act § 42 a, section 2. Here, the key word is: "necessary." According to the law, it is indeed expenses for necessary health services that are covered. Dental treatment may be included, but that does not mean that every conceivable service at the dentist is necessary. Therefore, I have asked the minister whether public funds have been used for unnecessary expenses such as anesthesia. For one treatment, anesthesia may be unnecessary, while for another, it may be painful or irresponsible to forego it. So this is not about whether the residents may or may not receive anesthesia. It is simply about whether the Aliens Act § 42 a, section 2, is actually being complied with. Thus, it is entirely legitimate to investigate whether public funds have been used for something that was not necessary, including whether anesthesia is routinely offered to patients without reservation and without regard to the rules. Fundamentally, this is NOT about whether residents in departure centers may receive anesthesia. It is also NOT about whether anyone may go to the dentist. The question is who should pay the bill. It is absurd that Danes are paying dental bills for people who are to go home. It should not be controversial to think so. After all, there is no one preventing voluntary organizations or others from raising funds for dental treatment for the residents if they cannot pay themselves. For example, the Red Cross offers swimming pool trips to the residents of Kærshovedgård. Perhaps dental assistance could be something one chooses to prioritize instead. #Udlændingepolitik #Sundhedspolitik #Tandlægehjælp (translated)

AFRICA DAILY REPORT — 15 SEPTEMBER 2026 Coverage: key developments identified in the latest 24-hour news cycle 1. SUDAN — WFP funding collapse threatens food aid Importance: 10/10 — CRITICAL The World Food Programme says its Sudan budget has fallen to roughly $206 million this year from $645 million last year, while nearly 20 million people face hunger. WFP says it needs almost $300 million more to sustain current operations. Funding constraints have forced the agency to concentrate assistance on about five million of the most vulnerable people, with roughly four million currently receiving partial rations. The funding shock risks deepening what is already one of the world's largest humanitarian emergencies. Source: Reuters, 14 Sep 2026 https://www.reuters.com/world/africa/world-food-programme-funding-sudan-plummets-more-go-hungry-head-says-2026-09-14/ 2. RED SEA / HORN OF AFRICA — Houthi advances increase pressure around Bab el-Mandeb Importance: 9.5/10 — CRITICAL Fighting in Yemen is intensifying along the Red Sea coast, with Houthi territorial gains creating additional risk around the Bab el-Mandeb shipping corridor. More than 82,000 people have reportedly been displaced since early September, and over 2,000 have crossed to Djibouti. For Africa, the significance extends beyond the humanitarian impact: disruption around Bab el-Mandeb threatens trade, fuel costs and shipping links serving East Africa, the Horn and the Suez route. Sources: Reuters/AP, 14 Sep 2026 https://www.reuters.com/world/middle-east/yemens-displaced-long-loved-ones-stability-houthis-advance-2026-09-14/ https://apnews.com/article/90dc86201ef51410ebcdd913837d741d 3. GLOBAL ENERGY / AFRICA — Saudi pipeline damage raises oil-price risk for African importers Importance: 9/10 — VERY HIGH Saudi Arabia's strategically important East-West oil pipeline is expected to remain largely out of service for three to five weeks after a drone attack. Oil prices rose as markets assessed the disruption alongside instability around Gulf and Red Sea routes. The consequences are especially important for oil-importing African economies, where higher crude prices can quickly feed into fuel costs, inflation, currencies and transport prices. Source: AP, 14 Sep 2026 https://apnews.com/article/8c18d82c109a8ea91347ce53c0096c53 4. SOUTH AFRICA — Rand falls sharply as oil prices surge Importance: 8.5/10 — VERY HIGH The South African rand fell around 1.1% against the dollar during Monday trading as rising oil prices increased pressure on Africa's most industrialised economy. South Africa is a major net oil importer and therefore particularly exposed to the current energy shock. The JSE Top-40 also weakened, while government bond yields moved higher. The development illustrates how the Middle East/Red Sea crisis is transmitting directly into African financial markets. Source: Reuters, 14 Sep 2026 5. DR CONGO — Ebola outbreak remains a continental-level health emergency Importance: 10/10 — CRITICAL The Ebola epidemic remains one of Africa's most serious current risks. The outbreak has spread to seven Congolese provinces, including Sud-Ubangi in western DRC, raising concern about further cross-border transmission toward the Republic of Congo and Central African Republic. Latest reported figures exceed 7,000 cases and 3,300 deaths. Conflict, displacement, health-worker strikes and population movement continue to obstruct containment. Sources: AP / public-health reporting, latest updates through 14 Sep 2026 https://apnews.com/article/58a2b25c752eaa8344ff16564a8e3547 6. EASTERN DR CONGO — Bukavu mourns 27 students killed in school fires Importance: 8/10 — HIGH Hundreds gathered in Bukavu for a mass funeral after fires at two neighbouring schools killed 27 students. The tragedy is particularly significant because it occurred in an already severely stressed city: Bukavu is controlled by the M23/AFC movement and local medical capacity is simultaneously under pressure from conflict and the Ebola epidemic. The disaster highlights the fragility of civilian infrastructure in eastern Congo. Source: AP, 14 Sep 2026 https://apnews.com/article/fd1aea4738a9a686fc6f0d45997a2be3 7. SOUTH AFRICA — Major road disaster kills at least 21 people in Western Cape Importance: 7.5/10 — HIGH At least 21 people were killed in a multi-vehicle collision on the N1 between Prince Albert and Leeu-Gamka in Western Cape. Two minibus taxis collided head-on before an SUV struck the wreckage. Together with another fatal accident near Ermelo, at least 29 people died on South African roads over the weekend, renewing scrutiny of road and minibus-taxi safety. Source: AP, 14 Sep 2026 https://apnews.com/article/9ae8e6beeb75cc307be24e15e9ec1fad 8. SUDAN — International leverage constrained as humanitarian needs rise Importance: 8.5/10 — VERY HIGH The widening humanitarian funding gap comes as diplomatic pressure on Sudan's belligerents remains limited. The UN Security Council recently extended the Darfur arms embargo only temporarily while members continue debating a U.S. proposal for a nationwide ban. Russia and China have raised objections to expanding the restrictions. The combination of weak humanitarian financing and diplomatic deadlock increases the risk of further deterioration. Sources: Reuters/AP https://apnews.com/article/fde2c6880c80343bebffb83c243fd3f4 9. UGANDA / SOUTH SUDAN — Climate stress is fuelling violence against traditional rainmakers Importance: 6.5/10 — SIGNIFICANT AP reports growing violence against traditional rainmakers in parts of Uganda and South Sudan as increasingly erratic rainfall damages subsistence agriculture. Farmers facing droughts, floods and crop losses have sometimes blamed spiritual practitioners for failed rains. The story is locally focused but illustrates a broader African security issue: climate disruption increasingly interacts with poverty, social tension and traditional belief systems. Source: AP, 15 Sep 2026 https://apnews.com/article/6080fa9dbc838ba75b9bab29cfd48fc9 10. AFRICA'S ECONOMIC OUTLOOK — Oil shock becomes the key near-term macro risk Importance: 8/10 — HIGH The combination of damaged Saudi export infrastructure, instability around Bab el-Mandeb and elevated crude prices is becoming an important macroeconomic risk for African oil-importing states. South Africa's currency reaction is an early indicator. If elevated prices persist, Kenya, Ethiopia, Morocco, Senegal and other net importers could face renewed inflation and balance-of-payments pressure, while African oil exporters could receive a revenue boost. This is a cross-cutting issue to watch closely over the coming days. Sources: Reuters/AP, 14 Sep 2026 TODAY'S ASSESSMENT The three developments with the greatest strategic significance are: (1) the sharp deterioration in humanitarian financing for Sudan; (2) the continuing Ebola emergency in DR Congo; and (3) the expanding Red Sea/Middle East energy shock, which is increasingly transmitting into African currencies, inflation and trade risks. #Africa #AfricaNews #TopNewsOfAfrica #Sudan #SudanCrisis #HumanitarianCrisis #WFP #WorldFoodProgramme #FoodSecurity #HungerCrisis #HumanitarianAid #RedSea #HornOfAfrica #BabElMandeb #Houthis #MaritimeSecurity #Shipping #GlobalTrade #EnergySecurity #OilPrices #OilMarket #AfricanEconomies #AfricanMarkets #EconomicRisk #Geopolitics #MiddleEast #EastAfrica #GlobalSouth #AfricaToday #wrldorg

#Afryka #africa #southafrica #nigeria #niger #kenya #ebola #kenia #Edukacja #klimat #climate #education #Senegal #sport #benin #brics #usa #drc #congo
