Valsts drošības dienests (VDD), reaģējot uz prokremliska grupējuma publiski izplatītu ultimātu, šā gada 9. septembrī sācis kriminālprocesu par draudiem īstenot terorismu pret uzņēmumiem Latvijā, kas piegādā bruņojumu Ukrainai. VDD konstatēja, ka prokremlisks grupējums ar nosaukumu "Global Citizens Against War 1984" (tulkojumā no angļu valodas – "Globālie pilsoņi pret karu 1984") šā gada 8. septembrī savā interneta vietnē publicējis prasību Latvijai pārtraukt ieroču un munīcijas piegādes Ukrainai. Pretējā gadījumā grupējums draud īstenot teroristiskas darbības pret konkrētiem Latvijas uzņēmumiem, kas ražo un piegādā bruņojumu Ukrainai. 10. septembrī VDD kriminālprocesa ietvaros Rīgā aizturējis vienu personu, kā arī personas dzīvesvietā un automašīnā veicis kriminālprocesuālas darbības.
