The AfD parliamentary group in Saxony announced that AfD MP Jörg Dornau had requested the state government to disclose the performance-related compensation of executives at companies in which the Free State has a stake (Drs. 8/7237). This includes, among others, Mitteldeutsche Flughafen AG, Leipzig Trade Fair, the SAENA Energy Agency, and the porcelain manufactory. Regarding the Leipzig Trade Fair, Dornau received information that there are 42.5 executives in full-time equivalents. The government refused to provide details on fixed salaries and bonus payments. According to publicly accessible sources, the AfD parliamentary group deduced that the CEO of Mitteldeutsche Flughafen AG, including bonuses, is likely to earn between 400,000 to 550,000 euros gross annually. The AfD also found years ago that savings bank executives in Dresden likely earn more than 50,000 euros per month on average (7/10922). Dornau accused the government of not disclosing the compensation of executives at companies with state participation of 51 to 100 percent because this would be difficult to convey to citizens. He assessed that some managers are not very successful but earn more than Chancellor Friedrich Merz. Dornau demanded that the salaries of the CEOs be made publicly accessible, like those of public broadcasting, to avoid the impression of a “CDU cliquishness.” #AfD #Sachsen #JörgDornau #CDU #FriedrichMerz #Landesbeteiligungen #Spitzengehälter #Transparenz #LeipzigerMesse #MitteldeutscheFlughafenAG #AfD #Transparenz #Sachsen (translated)
