Tomáš Fiala, a candidate from the Our Czech Republic movement, has more than 57 percent of the votes after counting 70 percent of the precincts and is on track to become the first elected senator from Strakonice, while in other districts it appears that candidates without opposition from the opposition have a better chance of success already in the first round of elections. #Senát #volby #Češi (translated)

The author stated that the EU has so far definitively approved the ETS2 emissions trading system, which will take effect in January 2028. Kutil then said that he was not surprised that the USA could become another supporter of Russian killing in Ukraine, and he referred to Donald Trump as the worst president in US history. He stated that Trump seemed to him to be paying off old debts from his youth. He labeled as absurd the possibility that Trump would provide Moscow with economic and political relief due to hypothetical supplies of Russian oil or diesel, which he claimed represented only a tiny share of the American market. He questioned whether the supplies would even arrive and associated their timing with the November elections. According to him, it might have been enough for Trump if voters believed that oil or diesel were already headed to the USA, while Putin could receive actual money. #Ukrajina #Trump #Rusko (translated)

Ivan Bartoš wrote that he is permanently saying goodbye to Fífa as a climate envoy, as stated by the prosecutor, which he described as fair. He added that he recently saw him exiting through the back door of a white Tesla. If that was supposed to be a sign of self-reflection and repentance, Fífa was on the right track, but according to Bartoš, he should no longer be behind the wheel. #klima #politika #sebereflexe (translated)

Ciril wrote that he had heard rumors that someone had threatened a woman, among other things, that they had threatened to push her off the road. He believed that the threats could be real if the new leadership team in healthcare endangered the interests of the supplier mafia, as large sums of money circulate in healthcare, according to him. As another possibility, he mentioned that a criminal group, which he said was running the country from behind the scenes and stealing public money, might act against the Democrats after a failure with Resnica. If the rumors were true, it would be understandable, in his opinion, that the woman was afraid for her life. In this context, he recalled the death of Dušan Konda, which he labeled a suspicious suicide after the failed attempt to bribe members of parliament from Resnica. Ciril also wrote that people might not realize the seriousness of the intervention in the flow of public money into private pockets. According to estimates by experts and institutions he referred to, Slovenia is said to have lost about 3.5 billion euros a year due to corruption, or 10 million euros a day. #korupcija #politika #Slovenija (translated)
