Bonifacio Castellane wondered how he could prove to remain a proletarian sensitive to the needs of the underprivileged while celebrating his long revolutionary life at La Scala, which he claimed went beyond any possible extension of the "phase of transition." He wrote that he would go to the theater in a T-shirt and sneakers and added that, in the presence of a fascist conductor, a fellow cellist would ensure he was thrown out. Castellane identified these people with the readers of Michele Serra and Concita De Gregorio. #proletariato #rivoluzione #cultura (translated)
