Vairāki investori, kuri obligācijas biržā bija iegādājušies aptuveni par 70 procentiem no to nominālvērtības, vairāk paļāvās uz “airBaltic” likvidāciju un ieķīlāto aktīvu atgūšanu, nevis uzņēmuma restrukturizāciju. Tika piedāvāts vēl viens aizdevums līdz 257 miljoniem eiro ar 25 % gada likmi. Tas varētu nodrošināt uzņēmumam naudu tuvākajam laikam, taču neatrisinātu ne iepriekš uzkrāto parādu, ne lidmašīnu nomas saistību problēmu. Tādēļ es nepieņēmu šo piedāvājumu kā ilgtermiņa risinājumu. “Chapter 11” ir ASV tiesas uzraudzīta finanšu restrukturizācija, kas ļauj “airBaltic” turpināt lidojumus, vienlaikus pārstrukturējot parādus un nomas līgumus un piesaistot darbībai nepieciešamo finansējumu.
