Nous avons pris connaissance des conclusions de la rapporteure publique au tribunal administratif de Lyon, saisi des recours déposés par les listes, respectivement de Mme Geoffroy et de Mme Bertin. Je veux être clair sur ce que disent ces conclusions. La rapporteure publique demande l'annulation des élections municipales de Vaulx-en-Velin pour un seul et unique motif : l'absence de mention de la nationalité néerlandaise d'une colistière sur les bulletins de la liste de Mme Bertin. Les colistiers de Mme Geoffroy, eux, ont adressé plusieurs griefs contre notre campagne. La rapporteure publique n'en a retenu aucun. Si le scrutin devait être annulé, ce serait donc uniquement en raison d'une irrégularité administrative relative à une autre liste que la nôtre. Cette situation nous surprend profondément. À deux reprises, la commission de propagande de la préfecture a validé ces bulletins, alors même que Mme Bertin n'avait jamais dissimulé la nationalité de sa colistière. Comment une telle erreur a-t-elle pu être commise, alors que la préfecture vérifie habituellement les documents électoraux avec la plus grande rigueur, et qu’elle a identifié la même irrégularité à Saint-Fons, dès le premier tour des élections municipales ? Il nous avait été demandé, à nous, de corriger de simples accents dans les noms de certains de nos colistiers. Ce que je retiens aujourd'hui, c’est que si les élections municipales de Vaulx-en-Velin venaient à être annulées, la responsabilité en incomberait strictement à une erreur administrative de la préfecture. Cela devra être expliqué clairement aux Vaudaises et aux Vaudais; et aux électrices et aux électeurs qui nous ont accordé leur confiance. De notre côté, nous avons respecté toutes les règles et mené une campagne impeccable. Rien ne peut entacher la légitimité de notre victoire, une victoire que Mme Geoffroy avait elle-même publiquement reconnue. Depuis notre entrée en fonction, nous gouvernons la commune et nous avons commencé à appliquer le programme sur lequel nous avons été élus. Notre ambition reste intacte : tenir nos engagements sur l'ensemble du mandat. Nous poursuivons donc notre action au service des Vaudaises et des Vaudais, sans interruption et sans attentisme. Si un nouveau scrutin devait avoir lieu, et malgré le profond sentiment d'injustice qu'il susciterait, nous serions au rendez-vous.
