The author wrote that school vandalism occurred in other countries but appeared in France to follow a distinct pattern of destruction, which they compared with mass car burnings during urban riots and with school shootings in the United States. https://t.co/Z9RUKMLU2t #France #Vandalism #SocialIssues #FR #US

The post described France as facing renewed unrest and said the stated grievance was insufficient funding for education. It argued that too much money was being spent on people who, in the author’s view, should not be in France, and questioned complaints about school-building funds by referring to buildings being burned. https://t.co/fqp1EKHrFJ #France #Éducation #Riots #FR

I say this is no longer about high school student protests. It is about riots organised by professionals and overseen by deputies from La France Insoumise. #StudentProtests #EducationReform #FranceDemonstrations

The author wrote that a proposal for an ECR debate had been adopted, calling it a defeat for leftists. They said the debate that evening would address student riots in France, including arson attacks on schools and assaults on firefighters, police officers and teachers in places such as La Ciotat, as well as what they described as the role of far-left parties in inciting violence. https://t.co/7EQQP4UmJp #France #Students #Politics #FR

I Hear a New World - A Long London Novel by Alan Moore From New York Times bestselling author and legendary storyteller Alan Moore, the second book in the Long London Series, a daringly inventive fantasy novel about murder, mayhem, and magic. It's 1958 and Dennis Knuckleyard has decided to leave his adventures in the Great When in the past where they belong. For nine years, he's avoided so much as thinking about the magical version of London, until he rediscovers an unpleasant reminder of his last adventure-a key that he'd secretly brought into his own world from the other for safekeeping. But while Dennis may believe he's done with the Great When, it's far from done with him. When Dennis gives the key to a friend, its magical properties reawaken, bringing creatures from the other world into Dennis's and sparking riots in Notting Hill. Even worse, Dennis's old crush Grace Shilling has been forced into the Great When to investigate strange happenings in both cities. Desperate to keep Grace safe, Dennis follows her into Long London. But once inside the other city, it will not let him go again so easily, and Dennis and Grace must fight to set things right in the Great When and their own world, or forever lose their lives-and each other. Full of Moore's characteristically stunning world building and rollicking prose, I Hear a New World is the extraordinary second adventure in the Long London series.

So @FredSargeant is gay, founded Pride in New York, and was at all 4 nights of the Stonewall riots. Enough credentials, @LoinDuTribu? He doesn't think men are women either, and trans activists assaulted him at Pride for saying so #Pride #Stonewall #TransRights #US

Only in France does a football club's victory spark riots. Only in France does everyone feel compelled to lock themselves in their homes on the evening of a victory to avoid being confronted with violence.
