De absurde subsidies aan regionale luchthavens zijn een toonvoorbeeld van hoe we Vlaanderen onze economie volledig in handen van de overheid duwen. Met 0,0001% winnaars. 99,9% van de andere ondernemers die het betalen. Steeds hetzelfde excuus: "dit is toch een zeer belangrijke economische sector!" Van paardenwedstrijden en maneges "want de paardensector is belangrijk". Miljarden subsidies in bedrijven "want sector x,y,z is belangrijk". Tot miljarden aan regionale en nationale luchthavens "want de luchthavensector is oh zo belangrijk!". Bij elke subsidie hoor je dat parlementsleden zeggen: "je kan daar toch niet tegen zijn, want dit is zo'n belangrijke economische sector, met zoveel personeel". Het is zelfs zo ver dat er in het parlement gewaarschuwd werd voor het volgende: "die subsidies aan de regionale luchthavens zijn goed, maar laat het niet te veel zijn, want we mogen geen concurrentie scheppen met de luchthaven van Zaventem waar we aandeelhouder van geworden zijn". Bof. Zo ver is het dus gekomen. De waarheid: Elke economische sector is belangrijk. Dat wil niet zeggen dat er bakken overheidsgeld moeten gaan naar een paar bedrijven binnen die sectoren. De Vlaamse overheid schept daarmee winnaars: 0,0001% van de bedrijven. Die dan uiteindelijk volledig afhankelijk zijn van de overheid. In het geval van die regionale luchthavens zelfs met gedetacheerde ambtenaren. De overige 99,9% ondernemers betaalt de rekening. Ik zou dat ergens nog begrijpen mochten socialisten daarvoor aan het roer zitten. Maar het zijn N-VA-ministers @AnnickDeRidder en @MDiependaele die de grootste staatseconomie fans zijn.
