The fifth destroyer, the USS Oscar Austin, arrived in Rota in October 2024, and the one-year delay in the arrival of the last ship had led to speculation that the Navy might backtrack on its plans due to the refusal of Spanish President Pedro Sánchez to allocate 5% of GDP (Gross Domestic Product) to military spending, as demanded by American Donald Trump, and the rejection of allowing the use of Spanish bases for attacks against Iran. #USSJohnBasilone #EjércitoEEUU #BaseNavalRota (translated)

The author wrote that Russia is supplying Iran with data for attacks on US bases. At the same time, according to his account, the United States is withholding data from Ukraine for attacks on Russian bases. From his perspective, this only makes sense if the leader of the United States is on Russia's side. #Russland #Iran #Ukraine #RU #IR #US #UA (translated)

S. Szynkowski vel Sęk wrote that Donald Tusk had at his disposal a government center in Łańsk with a villa, swimming pool, saunas, a kayak rental, and stables, as well as the Warsaw residence Parkowa. He noted that government and presidential centers operate in most countries and serve the administration, hosting foreign guests, and organizing events. He added that some facilities are partially made available for commercial use, mentioning the lower Presidential Castle in Wisła and the facilities in Łańsk. He claimed that countries without such centers pay high sums for the rental of representative facilities. He accused Tusk of triggering the "horse affair" to attack the president and distract attention from the ineptitude of his own governments. #Polska #DonaldTusk #polityka (translated)

A fable about a dog and hay The dog climbed into the manger, full of fresh hay, and fell asleep there. After a while, tired and hungry oxen came to the barn, wanting to feed themselves after a long day of work. As they approached the manger, the dog jumped up, started barking furiously and snapping its teeth to drive them away. One of the oxen looked at him sadly and said: "What a selfish animal! You can't eat the hay yourself, and you won't let us, who are hungry and depend on it, near it." a classic Aesop's fable Any similarity to Tina, Tereza, Nataša, Vladimir, and Asta is purely coincidental.
