Kilka dni temu obronił się mój student. Naliczylem, że zasilił grono jakichś 25 innych licencjuszy/magistrantów/doktorantów, których dotąd odhodowałem i wypromowałem. Nie mam pojęcia, jakie standardy wyznacza się na innych wydziałach albo uniwersytetach, natomiast pierwszą rzeczą, którą mówię młodemu człowiekowi, który przychodzi do mnie z prośbą o wzięcie go pod opiekę, to to, że w wyniku jego licencjatu ma powstać dobra, opublikowana praca. Od nauki rozumienia cudzych osiągnięć są u nas wykłady kursowe. Tytuł naukowy zdobywa się za własne osiągnięcia. To samo jest później w przypadku magisterki. Przy doktoracie przyzwoitym minimum są 4 dobrze opublikowane artykuły i nie przypominam sobie żadnych przypadków, w których nie udałoby się tego wspólnie osiągnąć. Mój ostatni magistrant w momencie obrony miał na koncie cztery opublikowane artykuły (w porządnych, recenzowanych czasopismach naukowych) i dwa kolejne w drodze.
