AlkoInwestor described a dispute in a parents' group regarding a gift for the teacher on Teacher's Day. According to his account, Milena, the mother of Kornelia, suggested buying a personalized glass and a massage voucher, stating that she was acting on behalf of the parents. The author wrote that he opposed the expenditure. Among his arguments, he mentioned the teachers' salaries, a pastoral allowance of at least 300 PLN, breaks in learning, and the possibility of taking paid health leave for up to a year. He also pointed out the potential tax consequences of donations from more than twenty families. In a conversation with Lena's mother, he compared the idea of a massage for the teacher to the absence of gifts for accountants on their holiday, which, he noted, falls on June 9. He reported that he suggested instead a three-day access to his webinar on opening a brokerage account and the differences between IKE and IKZE. Ultimately, the parents agreed that the children would prepare and sign a greeting card, and its cost would not burden the class fund. After the conversation, Lena's mother asked the author about the price for indefinite access to the webinar; he quoted 549 PLN and issued an invoice. #Rodzicielstwo #Komunikacja #RelacjeSocjalne (translated)

As he reported, the court found that he had subjective and objective reasons to state that President Lech Kaczyński contributed to the Smolensk disaster. Sikorski recalled that in this matter Kaczyński submitted the Miller Commission report as evidence, which — according to him — confirmed that an accident occurred and excluded an assassination. He accused that for political purposes the disaster was presented as an assassination, while in the case of compensation and the lawsuit as an accident. He added that he is surprised that anyone still believes the people he accused of deceit. #Smoleńsk #Kaczyński #sprawiedliwość (translated)

The author of the entry accused Bogucki, head of Nawrocki's office, of re-publishing a fragment of Nawrocki's speech from Stargard on October 2nd on October 6th. He pointed out that the day before, Nawrocki had said in his message that he did not want "an ongoing political war," and the following day blamed Donald Tusk's government for public finance problems and stated that the government was indebting Poles by 900 million zł daily, while every day "2000 apartments" were being lost. The author questioned these calculations. He wrote that 900 million zł daily would mean about 328.5 billion zł annually, while the maximum budget deficit for 2026 is noted to be 271.7 billion zł, or about 744 million zł daily. He added that according to data from the Ministry of Finance, the debt of the sector of government and local government institutions according to EU methodology increased in the first half of 2026 by 263.2 billion zł, which—he calculated—would be about 1.45 billion zł daily on average. He asked what category of debt, methodology, and period the 900 million zł figure referred to. Referring to the 2000 apartments daily, the author calculated that at the amount of 900 million zł, it would mean 450,000 zł per apartment. He assessed such a comparison as lacking economic value without indicating which state expenditures should be limited or what revenues should be increased. He noted that a deficit means that expenditures exceed revenues, and the expenditures funded by it include, among others, defense, benefits, healthcare, investments, and debt service. The author also questioned Nawrocki's statement that Tusk's government indebted Poles by 1 trillion zł within four years. He reminded that the government was appointed on December 13, 2023, and by the day of the speech in Stargard, on October 2, 2026, it had not even been in power for three full years. He added that the statement could refer to a forecast for four years, but—as he pointed out—Nawrocki did not present it as a forecast. #Polska #Polityka #FinansePubliczne (translated)

The author of the entry questioned Kania's claim about "hundreds of scientific publications" by Karol Nawrocki. He referred to the official IPN biography, according to which Nawrocki wrote seven books and several dozen scientific and journalistic articles, as well as to the biography on the website of the President of Poland, which mentions several dozen scientific and popular science publications. He indicated that Nawrocki's leadership of the Museum of the Second World War and the IPN does not justify, in his opinion, defining these institutions as the largest educational and research facilities in Poland. The author accused Kania of exaggerating Nawrocki's achievements and reducing Radosław Sikorski's accomplishments to his estate in Chobielin and his wife Anne Applebaum. He pointed out Oxford, Sikorski's international activities, and his roles as Minister of Defense, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Speaker of the Sejm, and Member of the European Parliament. He added that Sikorski's statement could be criticized, but he did not believe that its history was fabricated. He also criticized Kania for basing the correction on what he called hyperboles and omissions. #nauka #publikacje #Polska (translated)

Grzegorz Braun assessed that the PRZEkanał material about his conversations with representatives of India unjustifiably suggested that economic cooperation was intended to bring in workers to Poland. He assured that the Confederation of the Polish Crown had not undertaken and did not plan to undertake actions for the immigration of foreigners. He accused the authors of the material of editing it in a way that supported a preconceived thesis. Braun wrote that the conversations with representatives of India took place on February 18, 2026, in the European Parliament, and the KKP described them publicly several months earlier. According to him, the goal of the planned Polish-Indian Economic Forum "Strictly Business - Fifty/Fifty" was to find sectors with high potential and launch investment projects. He added that the recording contained his explanation that the initiative was intended to link Polish entrepreneurs with foreign partners, and not to concern immigration policy. Braun reminded that according to GUS data for 2025, Poland sold goods to India worth 1.4 billion euros and bought goods worth 4.3 billion euros, which indicated a deficit of nearly 3 billion euros. He wrote that the KKP wanted to increase Polish exports to India, not bring in workers from there. Referring to the section about employment agencies, he quoted a statement by Dominik Chmielewski, who reportedly said that agencies — Polish, Ukrainian, or from other countries — would not take part in the event. Braun accused PRZEkanał of drawing conclusions from incomplete fragments of conversations, which, in his opinion, the recordings did not support. #Polska #biznes #imigracja (translated)

The course of events in the conflict between Cristiano and Jorge Jesus: 1. Jorge Jesus called Cristiano and they agreed that he would play in the first match against Wales and in the fourth, against Norway. Initially, everything went according to plan and Cristiano was in the starting lineup for the match against Wales. 2. On the day of the second match, Jorge Jesus changed his mind and informed Cristiano that he would need him - possibly for the last half hour. In the 51st minute, Haaland scored to make it 1-1 and Jesus sent Ronaldo to warm up, but in the 54th minute Portugal regained the lead. The coach deemed it unnecessary to bring Cristiano in, as the priority had become to maintain the favorable score. CR7 warmed up for half an hour, did not enter the field, and left the stadium in anger. 3. Cristiano did not train with the group in Denmark; instead, while the team was practicing, he went to the hotel for individual training in the gym. 4. Jorge Jesus's press conference made Ronaldo lose his patience. He listened to the coach's statements, but the explanations presented did not convince him. Instead of going out to train with the team, he left the hotel and headed towards his private jet. 5. Coach Jorge Jesus and federation president Pedro Proenca went to the airport after Cristiano to try to persuade him to stay in Copenhagen, but CR7 would not be convinced and boarded the plane. 6. In Portugal, it is believed that Ronaldo's departure from the training camp marks the definite end of his international career. I'm already a bit tired of this war Nawrocki–Tusk over who wants to lower fuel prices more and who will hit their opponent harder. On a daily basis, I deal with law and legislation, so instead of another press conference, I prefer to try to do something more useful. Let's think about whether it is possible to create a mechanism that works independently of who is currently in power and who lives in the Presidential Palace. Let's tentatively call it the Fuel Price Stabilization Mechanism - nothing more spectacular comes to mind. I’m not talking about flashy slogans like administrative price setting or the prime minister should lower it, or the president presented a bill, so the problem is solved. I’m talking about an automatic system established in law. I imagined it so that if for a certain period, the reference price of oil or wholesale fuel exceeds a set threshold, a temporary reduction in excise tax is automatically triggered. Without a political decision being made anew each time, because that leads to endless arguments at the expense of citizens. The law specifies in advance: - when the mechanism is triggered, - by how much the burden is reduced, - how long it operates, - when it automatically expires. Of course, within the limits of EU law. Because it is worth reminding a rather prosaic fact - a member state cannot arbitrarily eliminate fuel taxation. Here the 2003/96/EC directive comes in, determining minimum levels of taxation for gasoline and diesel. So just as it should be done - first the law and only then the slogans - I’m directing this to my favorite camp, the surroundings of the office. Now there remains a more important problem. If we lower the excise tax, the budget receives less money. This cost does not disappear, it does not magically evaporate. You can't just move it to the "someone may pay later" column. That’s why the mechanism should have a second arm - a temporary levy on the truly extraordinary portion of profits in the fuel sector. But not on the entire profit and definitely not on the normal operation of the enterprise. Not because the company dared to make a profit but solely from that portion that exceeds the previously defined reference level. The current government project wants to use a similar construct - the reference point is margins from 2025 increased by 20%, and only the excess is taxed. The tax rate in the project is 60%, and the projected revenues are about 4 billion PLN. The government indicates that the funds are meant to compensate for the loss of VAT and excise tax revenue resulting from protective actions. However, I would change one fundamental thing. Only PROSPECTIVELY. First, we establish the rule, then we apply it. Not the other way around. This significantly reduces the dispute over retroactivity and legal safety - the reason for Mr. Nawrocki's veto. Revenues from such a levy should be additionally separated and accounted for solely for the purposes of the stabilization mechanism. Then we can show the citizen a simple calculation: - the budget lost X from the temporary excise tax reduction, - the extraordinary levy brought Y, - and the difference is Z. No miracles or political alchemy - simplicity in full scope. But there is still one problem. If the state reduces the burden by 20 groszy per liter, it doesn’t automatically mean that the driver will see 20 groszy less on the sign. Part of the relief may be taken by the margin because who doesn’t want to make a profit... That’s why there should be parallel, public monitoring: - raw material price, - wholesale price, - taxes, - average margin, - retail price. If there is an anomaly, we have UOKiK and competition law instruments. There’s no need to immediately create a state office to set the price of diesel at 7:43 in the morning. And a final safeguard. The price returns below the statutory threshold for a certain period? The reduction expires, the levy expires. The system returns to normal mode. #ustawy #ceny #paliwa (translated)

Jelcyn: „Jasne, jasne, Bill. Jelcyn: „Nie wszyscy. […] Możesz wziąć inne państwa i zapewnić im bezpieczeństwo. Ja wezmę Europę i zapewnię im bezpieczeństwo. No cóż, nie ja. Rosja. […] […] Mamy w Rosji siłę, by chronić całą Europę… (…) To oficjalne stwierdzenie urzędującego ministra spraw zagranicznych. I znów Rosja zostanie zmuszona do podjęcia działań… Morgenthau polecam.
